Hello from all of us at The Well!
Longer days, more movement, more life happening both around us and within us. Are you feeling it? After the slower, quieter rhythm of winter, May often brings a sense of reawakening… a gentle nudge to step back into the world, into our bodies, and into connection.
Last month, we were reminded how important it is to stay rooted as life begins to fill up. This month, we’re leaning into something a little different—allowing ourselves to meet that fullness with presence, energy, and intention.

Looking Back at April
April’s Rise & Shine Yoga at Field Arts & Events Hall was a beautiful reminder of what it feels like to begin the day in presence. With a lovely group gathered and the Pacific Ocean stretched out in front of us, the practice felt both grounding and expansive—an opportunity to move, breathe, and simply take it all in.
As we pause for the summer months, we’re already looking ahead and weaving this offering back in, starting in the Fall.

What’s ‘Moving‘ at The Well in May
Rosie’s tap dance classes have been a real hit! And lucky you, she’s opening up a series for May!
4 weeks of an open level tap class, including a warm up, fun music, and clear breakdowns of steps and choreography.

Group Reiki with Val Artamonova

This is an opportunity for a group to gather and receive Reiki energy. Reiki promotes holistic wellness, rests the nervous system and empowers energetic awareness. Reiki is safe, gentle and noninvasive. Reiki may reduce pain, discomfort and stress. For anyone curious about the Reiki energy modality – this is a safe space to experience it for the first time.
What to Bring: Anything that promotes a cozy, restful state for you! I recommend bringing a pillow and a blanket, and wear comfortable clothing. The Well offers blankets, bolsters and yoga mats.

Soul Alchemy: The Shift is a space for those moments when you can feel something changing—but don’t yet have the words for it. Through guided reflection, energy work, intentional yoga, and authentic connection, this experience will invite you to slow down, listen inward, and move with what’s ready to shift, rather than pushing against it.
There is space for one more to join. Registration closes Wednesday 5/06. If you’ve been feeling the nudge, this is your moment to say YES. We’ll be creating space for real transformation — physically, emotionally, and energetically.

The Receiving Body w/ Kristin McConnell

The Receiving Body is a 3-week embodiment yoga series exploring receiving as a pathway to deeper connection and presence. Through yin yoga postures and embodiment-based practices, you’ll be guided to soften over-efforting, ground into support, and reconnect with the body’s natural language of sensation. Each week builds from receiving support from the ground, to receiving sensation within the body, to receiving information from the external environment through visual awareness. This series offers tools for nervous system regulation that you can take off the mat and apply to your life.

Groove Therapy w/ Travis Brown

Groove Therapy is a hip-hop–inspired movement class centered on feeling good in your body, releasing stress, and reconnecting with rhythm. This class focuses less on choreography and more on natural movement, groove, and self-expression.
Open to all levels, Groove Therapy invites participants to move at their own pace in a supportive, inclusive environment. Whether you’re new to dance or experienced, this class is about showing up as you are, getting out of your head, and leaving feeling lighter, energized, and grounded.
