In the Flow
November 2025 | Issue 01
The Well’s Collective Newsletter
Welcome to the very first edition of In the Flow — a monthly love note from The Well.
Our intention is to keep our community connected, inspired, and informed — sharing what’s blooming in our space, from the hearts that make it thrive. This newsletter is a reflection of The Well itself: circular, collaborative, and alive with the flow of humans supporting humans.
Each month, we’ll share stories, upcoming offerings, and reflections from our collective — little ripples of inspiration to remind us that we are all part of something deeper.
We’d love for you to be part of the story, too. If you feel called to share your voice — a poem, reflection, recipe, or creative expression — we’ll occasionally feature community contributions. You can reply directly to this email or chat with one of us at the studio to learn more.
Featured Reflection
‘Symbiotic Sense-Making’
by Izzy Zucker
October nears its end on the Olympic Peninsula, and I walk into at least five spider webs a day. Mushrooms flourish everywhere in sight. Mossy, bigleaf maples explode as orange bursts against the forest-green mountainsides.
The word “explode” makes me shudder right now.
The night grows longer, earlier, like the covers pulled tighter over every day, my hands gripping the blanket of the dark.
I want to cover my eyes.
The sun hangs low to the horizon as shadows lengthen off their forms and swollen apples drop from the trees.
We are all being beckoned
to fall
d
o
w
n.Ashes, ashes.
An inflatable double-headed serpent bares its teeth at me as I bike past my neighbor’s home. I am perplexed until I remember that Halloween is near.
There are more realistic monsters to fear.
Instagram served me a video on how to make a coffin-shaped cake.
Spirit Halloween stores stock fake blood on their shelves.
Amazon will ship a pack of fake wounds within the hour. Are you serious?
Now???Revellors dress as goblins and ghosts
while real ghouls hold their fingers to the nuclear button,
point at childish charts while exhuming lies from the cryptsand costuming themselves as saviors.
Here we stand:A mass obsession with industrializing death abroad
A societal aversion to honoring its dignity at home
A playful confrontation of it one night a year detached from its ancestral context—all co-existing at once.
Fall feels more like a verb this year,
less so like a season. In trying to wayfind
while protected from the realities of atrocity,In mapping positionality and posturing
within the crossover and crossfire,
In finding a home for this grief—I am turning toward the woods.

In these times of chaos and uncertainty, when everything feels like it’s spinning out of control, there’s an anchor ready to ground you—your breath. As Rumi beautifully said, “Your task is not to seek for love but to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” Together, through the transformative power of our breath and the unwavering strength of community, let’s embark on a journey of healing, growth and liberation.

Practice at Home
‘A Moment of Stillness‘
Find a quiet space and place your hands over your heart.
Inhale through your nose and imagine the breath flowing like water in the center of your chest.
Exhale through your mouth, releasing any tension, expectation, or noise from the day.
Repeat three times.
Whisper to yourself: I am safe to slow down. I am safe to let go.

Outside of our 4 walls at the studio, there is a wealth of goodness to be found, and we want you all know about it! If you’d like to be featured in a future issue — as an artist, maker, or member with something beautiful to share with the community — please reach out!
